Expression of Interest - Food & Beverage Attendant

The Opportunity    As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you’ll deliver excellent dining service, assist with food preparation, help set up and pack down dining areas and events, and build meaningful relationships that enhance the daily lives of residents. In this role, you’ll do more than serve meals - you’ll support our residents, foster meaningful connections, and help create a sense of community.    We are currently opening Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Casual Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team across our Brisbane Southside & Bayside retirement communities. Apply today, let us know your availability and we will contact you when a position becomes available.   Your Impact    Use the POS system to take orders while providing friendly, attentive, and personalised service to residents  Serve meals and drinks throughout service times, ensuring every dining experience is welcoming and enjoyable  Assist with light food preparation, including plating meals and preparing simple items such as salads  Support the setup and pack-down of events and dining spaces, maintaining clean, organised, and inviting areas throughout the day.  Build meaningful connections with residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging    What you'll bring    Previous customer service or hospitality experience is desirable, but a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is most important  Friendly, people-focused attitude with a genuine passion for customer service  Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in connecting with residents  Enthusiasm for working in retirement living and making a positive impact  Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)     What we offer    Casual Rate: $37.48/hr including casual loading + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances Part Time Rate: $29.98/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances   Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program  Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers  Annual flu vaccinations and skin checks  The opportunity to build meaningful, lasting relationships with residents and contribute to our retirement community  The opportunity to work across our neighbouring communities   Who we are  As a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
