About the opportunity:
As our business grows, so does our team. Currently providing support from Northern NSW to Central Queensland we have an exciting opportunity for Casual Disability Support Workers in the Tweed and Southern Gold Coast areas with several community and in home shifts currently available.
Common Position Responsibilities
Assistance with daily living tasks such as personal care, preparation of meals and other general household tasks.
Respond to clients’ needs and collaborate positively with their families, support people and others in their lives.
Assist with clients’ daily activities and routines
Promote independence, give choice, encourage inclusivity and respect the rights and privacy of individuals with disability
Working within the context of the individuals’ ability, balance Duty of Care within the rights of the individual.
Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
Work with the support team to ensure quality and continuity of care
Provide individuals access to the Community through transport, assisting on social outings, and participating in activities
Be proactive to continually educate yourself on the specific needs of participants and conditions.
Skills and experience:
Warm and positive attitude with a caring and empathetic nature
The right to work in Australia
Relevant work experience
Current police check (or willing to obtain)
Current first aid and CPR certificate
Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
National Disability Worker Screening Clearance
Unrestricted Drivers License
Clean and tidy, reliable car with comprehensive insurance
Rate of Pay
Award Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 based on your qualifications and experience.
