SMSF and Portfolio Accountant

Position Overview: Are you tired of the monotony of timesheets and seeking an opportunity that offers versatility and the chance to contribute to something great? Join our fun, energetic, and adaptable team as our Internal Tax & Reporting Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and review of our Annual Tax Reports to our clients and their respective Accountants.  As a key liaison between Accountants, clients, and internal teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and resolution of any tax-related queries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and review Annual Tax Reports for clients and their Accountants for their Portfolios & Investments.

• Liaise with Accountants, clients, and internal teams to address tax reporting queries.

• Oversee and manage tax data within our systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Assist with the collection and collation of source documentation for tax purposes.

• Build, draft, and optimise internal procedures related to source documents, reporting, correspondence, and tax software.

• Contribute to firm culture and uphold our core values.

• Utilise expertise in the preparation of Financial Statements and Taxation, particularly in relation to SMSFs, Trusts, and Companies.

• Demonstrate proficiency with SMSF software, such as Class or BGL.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in tax management and review.

• Knowledge of Financial Statements and Taxation related to SMSFs, Trusts, and Companies.

• Familiarity with SMSF software, preferably Class or BGL.

Location: Full-time role, either based in Melbourne or Sydney.
