Digital Strategist

The primary purpose of this position is to own the strategic direction and performance of a portfolio of high-value SEO, AEO and paid media clients, developing integrated strategies that improve visibility, engagement, conversion and overall business performance.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of SEO, AEO, PPC and paid social retainers
• Developing strategic roadmaps and budgets aligned with client business objectives
• Creating integrated strategies across SEO, paid search, social and content
• Leading the transition from traditional SEO towards GEO, AEO and AI-driven search
• Analysing campaign and customer behaviour data to identify optimisation opportunities
• Presenting strategies, performance insights and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
• Leveraging AI and agentic workflows to streamline processes and improve delivery efficiency
• Briefing internal copywriting, creative and web development teams and completing quality assurance
• Championing SEO, AI search, AI Overviews and LLM optimisation best practices
• Ensuring digital strategies integrate effectively with client websites, apps and broader digital experiences

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience within an agency or similar digital environment
• Proven experience managing high-spend, complex PPC and paid social campaigns
• Strong experience across Google Ads, including Search, Performance Max, Display and Video
• Experience with Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads
• Working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console and SEMrush
• A strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing and emerging AI-driven search environments
• Experience navigating CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Statamic or Sanity
• A systems-first mindset with an interest in automation, AI and improving traditional workflows
• Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to engage and present to C-suite stakeholders
• Strong organisation, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Experience with HubSpot, Figma Slides, Figma Design Suite or relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing will be highly regarded.
