Baker Apprentice – Full Time | Bakers Delight Rivergum Village

About the role

As a Baker Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced bakers and learn all areas of daily bakery production. This is a full-time apprenticeship and a great opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the baking industry while completing a nationally recognised baking qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Mixing and preparing doughs

• Learning bowl and dough mixing procedures

• Moulding and shaping bread products

• Working on the bench and preparing products for baking

• Learning oven operation and baking procedures

• Following daily production plans

• Maintaining consistent product quality

• Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas

• Food safety, workplace safety and bakery procedures

About you

• Is genuinely interested in becoming a qualified baker

• Is reliable and punctual

• Is comfortable with early morning starts

• Enjoys practical, hands-on work

• Can work well as part of a team

• Is willing to listen, learn and follow instructions

• Takes pride in their work

• Has good attention to detail

• Is physically capable of working in a busy bakery environment

• Is available to work weekends as part of a rotating roster
