Wilken Service Pty Ltd is a well-established civil electrical contractor delivering Level 1 & Level 2 ASP works across Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, as well as private HV infrastructure projects.

Due to continued growth in 2026, we are seeking experienced Cable Jointers with strong HV capability to join our team.

HV Substation experience is highly desirable and will be strongly regarded.

This role involves all aspects of High and Low Voltage cable jointing up to and including 22kV, across network and private HV projects.

About the Role

You will be involved in:

• HV & LV cable jointing up to 22kV

• Substation installation and fitting works

• Private HV infrastructure projects

• Street lighting and electrical infrastructure works

• Level 1 & Level 2 network construction

• Day, night and occasional weekend works as required

Essential Requirements

• White Card

• Current Driver’s Licence

• Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Distribution Cable Jointing)
  OR Equivalent

• Current or previous ASP1 / ASP2 accreditation

• Electrical Safety training for Ausgrid & Endeavour Energy authorisations

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Cable Jointer

• Strong understanding of WHS obligations

• Basic computer skills (tablet/laptop, Microsoft systems)

• Ability to travel when required

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical

Highly Regarded / Desirable

• HV Substation installation and fitting experience

• Paper-lead jointing experience

• Level 2 qualifications and live work experience

• HV switching

What We Offer

• Full-time permanent position under EBA conditions

• $55–$65 per hour (dependent on experience)

• 40-hour week (2 hours accrued toward monthly RDO)

• Monthly RDO

• Overtime with penalty rates

• Rain days
