Aquatic Operations Manager

At BlueFit, local leisure centres and pools are the beating heart of a community. As we transition and expand our operations at Holsworthy Swim Centre, we are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Operations Manager to lead daily site operations, elevate service standards, and build a thriving, safety-first culture from the ground up!

As our Operations Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations at Holsworthy. You will lead on-site teams—including lifeguards, swim school, and customer service staff—ensuring seamless facility maintenance, strict safety compliance, and an exceptional experience for every visitor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily facility presentation, plant room operations, water quality management, and asset maintenance across the site.

• Team Leadership & Culture: Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver top-tier service, maintaining clear operational standards and accountability on shift.

• Safety & Compliance: Drive a zero-harm safety culture by managing risk assessments, incident reporting, WHS compliance, and emergency procedures.

• Service Excellence: Partner with the teams to ensure smooth delivery across swim school, aquatic recreation, and front-of-house operations.

• Proven Operations Experience: in a supervisory or operations management role within an aquatic, leisure, or multi-purpose recreation facility.

• Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with pool plant operations, water chemistry, and facility maintenance protocols.

• Leadership & EQ: Strong communication skills with a proven track record of managing team dynamics, coaching staff, and resolving operational challenges with composure.

• Safety Mindset: Deep understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, risk management, and aquatic safety frameworks.

• Certifications (Required or Willing to Obtain):

  • Pool Lifeguard Award & Pool Operations Certificate (or equivalent)

  • HLTAID009 – Provide CPR & HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
