Site and Project Engineers

We’re on the lookout for experienced Site Engineers and Project Engineers to join our growing team and play an integral role delivering some of Queensland’s largest residential development projects across the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

With multiple opportunities available, this is an exciting chance to join Shadforth, a leading Queensland civil contractor, and work on projects that are shaping communities and providing thousands of new residential lots across the region.

About you

You’ll have a strong understanding of civil construction and subdivision works, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to delivering quality outcomes.

We’re looking for Site and Project Engineers with experience across civil construction, particularly those who have worked on residential subdivisions or major earthworks and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Assist with the planning, programming and delivery of civil construction and subdivision projects.
• Coordinate site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timeframes.
• Monitor project quality, compliance and environmental requirements.
• Assist with project cost management, forecasting and reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, procurement and site resources.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, records and reports.
• Identify and resolve project issues proactively.
• Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.

About you

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction for Project Engineer opportunities; relevant experience will be considered for Site Engineer positions.
• Previous experience delivering residential subdivision projects will be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, quality and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing project team.
