This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027

The Role

With a rare opportunity arising to join our team, we are seeking an applicant who is ideally committed, professional and collaborative with the capacity to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences across Music, Dance and Drama. They will ideally bring creativity, enthusiasm and initiative to the role and be passionate about providing opportunities for all students to develop confidence, creativity, self-expression and a genuine appreciation of the Performing Arts.

Ideally the successful applicant should have a strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver a cohesive and engaging Performing Arts program across Music, Dance and Drama. They will have the skills and confidence to provide students with rich opportunities to create, perform, respond and collaborate, while developing their knowledge and skills progressively across the primary years. The ability to identify and nurture student strengths and talents, while ensuring Performing Arts experiences are accessible and engaging for students of all abilities and backgrounds, will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant should show high expectations for every learner and use differentiation, assessment and responsive teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students. Given our culturally and linguistically diverse community, including a significant number of students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) and our Specialised Learning Program for students with Autism onsite, experience in designing inclusive Performing Arts experiences that enable all students to participate, communicate and succeed will be highly regarded.

The Performing Arts teacher also plays an important role in contributing to the broader cultural life of the school.
