Positive Control Electrics is an electrical contracting company based in Melbourne’s South-Eastern Suburbs with a team of approximately 25–30 staff. We specialise in delivering high-quality electrical solutions within the manufacturing sector, including maintenance and project works.

As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Operations Manager / Estimator to join our leadership team and help support the next stage of growth.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position within the business, responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff and schedules, and coordinating projects.

Working closely with the business owner, you will play an important role in ensuring the business runs efficiently, customers are well supported, and the team operates productively.

This role is suited to someone with strong industry experience who is looking to step into a senior operational position within a supportive and established business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors

• Schedule labour and allocate resources across projects and service works

• Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions

• Oversee project delivery, timelines, and quality outcomes

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors

• Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability

• Assist with workflow planning and operational improvements

• Support and mentor field staff

• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures

• Assist with the day-to-day management and growth of the business

• Help oversee operations when the owner is unavailable

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical operations, project management

• Strong understanding of both project and service work environments

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Strong leadership and people management abilities

• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities

• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

• Current driver’s licence

• An electrical trade background is highly regarded
