Ventia delivers transport infrastructure and technology maintenance solutions across Victoria’s major road network. This role plays a vital part in maintaining and improving the region's transport infrastructure, helping keep communities connected and roads safe as part of the North East Link Project.
The maintenance workforce plays a critical role in keeping the road network safe, reliable and operational for the travelling public. Works are performed across metropolitan and regional Victoria and include planned maintenance, fault response, emergency works, inspections, repairs, testing and restoration of traffic signals and ITS assets.
About The Role
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for supporting the coordination, planning, rostering and administration of maintenance activities across the ITS maintenance contract.
Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and key stakeholders, you will help ensure maintenance works are effectively planned, resourced and delivered safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in supporting workforce coordination, work scheduling, operational reporting and the successful delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance activities across a dynamic live network environment.
Role Responsibilities
Coordinate planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities across the ITS contract. Develop and maintain workforce rosters, including after-hours callout coverage, leave and training requirements. Support short and medium-term work planning, scheduling and backlog management activities. Track work orders, operational actions and delivery progress, ensuring accurate system updates and records. Coordinate labour, materials, plant, traffic management, permits and subcontractor requirements to support work delivery. Prepare operational reports, work packs and planning documentation for supervisors and field crews.
About You
Previous experience in project coordination, maintenance coordination, scheduling or planning within infrastructure, utilities or maintenance environments. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting. Experience using maintenance management, scheduling or project systems such as Maximo, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records, schedules and reporting. Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management or a related discipline are desirable.
