About The Role

To strengthen the collaboration between IT and the business in the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Commercial Area, we are seeking an assertive and strategic IT Business Partner who is passionate about delivering value by thoughtfully challenging ideas and guiding decisions beyond simply agreeing.

As the IT Business Partner for ANZ, you will act as the strategic interface between business leaders and IT, championing technology that drives commercial success, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You are not just a conduit between business and IT but also a thought partner who can challenge ideas constructively, shape strategic decisions, and ensure technology delivers measurable business impact.

You will collaborate closely with ANZ business partners to shape and influence the business agenda through technology. Success in this role requires a confident communicator, a diplomatic yet assertive negotiator, and someone with expertise in SAP functionality, ensuring all solutions align with the EluxOne framework and governance boundaries. You will work in firm alignment with the largest IT Group i.e., Regional Service Delivery team, EluxOne Functional Leads, and, when necessary, the APMEA Group Solutions IT teams to maintain alignment with corporate priorities and global standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the strategic advisor and point of contact for IT within the ANZ leadership team
• Align IT strategy and priorities with ANZ business goals, challenging assumptions where needed to ensure optimal outcomes
• Work with ANZ Business Transformation Team to proactively manage the local SAP Demands; ensure initiatives deliver tangible value and ROI
• Leverage SAP expertise to advise on system enhancements, integration opportunities, and process optimization across Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions
• Understand deeply the challenges in risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity and then work with Group solutions RISK & Compliance team to deploy suitable solutions
• Drive innovation through digital initiatives, data analytics, and process automation
• Collaborate with Regional GS-IT to ensure operational excellence and continuous service improvement across infrastructure, applications, and support services in ANZ
• Maintain robust relationships with business stakeholders, local vendors, and global technology teams

Who You Are

• Skilled at fostering balanced collaboration with business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring solutions are guided by strategic priorities rather than tactical demands, and that process improvements align with global standards and sustainable value delivery.
• Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and complex technology landscapes
• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
• Strong vendor management skills, ability to manage resources across different locations
• Must be open to working across time zones and with diverse global teams

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Minimum 14 years of overall IT experience, including at least 7-8 years in an IT business-facing, IT Business Partner, or similar role, ideally within a multinational or matrixed organization.
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior business leaders, understand priorities, and translate business needs into clear technology requirements.
• Ability to shape and prioritize the IT demand pipeline, develop business cases, and manage trade-offs across business value, cost, risk, resources, and enterprise technology standards.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align business, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end ownership of business technology initiatives, from problem definition and solution evaluation through delivery, adoption, and value realization.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and the ability to connect business priorities with practical technology solutions.
• Strong functional knowledge of at least one core enterprise platform, such as SAP ERP, CRM, supply chain, finance, or e-commerce applications.
• Experience with SAP ECC, particularly in modules such as SD or MM, is preferred.
• Experience in full lifecycle system implementations or major template rollout programmes is desirable.
• Good understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
