Sales Director

A visionary and results-driven executive responsible for leading the strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial performance of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business. Provides executive leadership across business development, engineering, project delivery, operations, commercial management, and asset performance while driving innovation in utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy solutions.

Key Executive Responsibilities

·       Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for the BESS business, ensuring sustainable growth and market leadership.

·       Lead the complete project lifecycle, including business development, feasibility studies, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), commissioning, operations, and asset optimisation

·       Drive revenue growth, profitability, and shareholder value through disciplined financial management and strategic investments.

·       Build and maintain executive relationships with utilities, government agencies, investors, EPC contractors, technology partners, OEMs, and regulatory authorities.

·       Lead commercial negotiations for multi-million-dollar contracts, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and project financing.

·       Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with international quality, environmental, and grid-code standards.

·       Oversee portfolio risk management, regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, and enterprise governance.

·       Champion digital transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement in energy storage technologies, smart grid integration, and renewable energy systems.

·       Develop organizational capability through leadership development, succession planning, and a high-performance culture.

·       Represent the organization at executive forums, government consultations, industry conferences, and investor engagements.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

·       MBA or master’s degree in business administration, Energy Management, or Engineering is highly preferred.

Experience

·       Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in the power, renewable energy, or energy storage industry.

·       At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a BESS distributor, system integrator, EPC contractor, or renewable energy company.

·       Demonstrated experience in BESS distribution, channel management, sales strategy, and market expansion.

·       Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and managing multimillion-dollar sales portfolios.

·        Experience working with utilities, commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, renewable energy developers, EPC contractors, and government agencies.

·       • Strong understanding of battery technologies, power conversion systems (PCS), energy management systems (EMS), SCADA, inverters, transformers, and grid integration.

  Technical Knowledge

·       Utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) Battery Energy Storage Systems.

·       Lithium-ion (LFP/NMC) and emerging battery technologies.

·       Renewable energy integration (solar PV, wind, hybrid systems).

·       Grid codes, electrical standards, and energy storage regulations.

·       Battery sizing, system design, and application engineering.

·       Energy management and monitoring systems.

·       Electrical distribution and power systems.
