Sales Executive - Events & Hospitality

The Fresh Collective is looking for a confident and commercially driven Sales Executive to join our Queensland team.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced event or hospitality sales professional who is ready to take ownership of enquiries, build strong client relationships and achieve meaningful revenue results across weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations and offsite catering.

You will represent an exciting portfolio of Brisbane venues, including:

• Waters Edge Weddings & Events at Portside Wharf
• Riverlife at Kangaroo Point
• Queensland Museum
• A range of partner venues across Brisbane
• The Fresh Collective’s premium offsite catering services

With such a diverse portfolio, you will have the opportunity to sell everything from waterfront weddings and corporate functions to museum events, private celebrations and large-scale offsite experiences.

Please note: This is a mid-level sales position, with a focus on sales rather than event coordination, operations or senior management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales QLD, you will manage the sales journey from initial enquiry through to confirmation. You will balance responsive enquiry management with proactive business development, helping grow our corporate, wedding and private event markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing inbound enquiries for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, venue hire and offsite catering
• Managing sales opportunities across Waters Edge, Riverlife, Queensland Museum and other Brisbane venues
• Qualifying opportunities and guiding clients towards the right venue, package or catering solution
• Preparing professional proposals, quotations and tailored event packages
• Conducting venue inspections and client consultations
• Following up opportunities consistently and confidently to secure bookings
• Building relationships with corporate clients, wedding couples, event planners and industry partners
• Identifying and developing new business through networking, referrals and targeted sales activity
• Working towards individual and team sales targets
• Maintaining accurate client, enquiry and sales information within the CRM
• Representing The Fresh Collective at networking events, wedding expos and industry functions when required
• Providing a clear and accurate handover to the event delivery team once a booking is confirmed

About You

You are a capable sales professional who enjoys the energy of the events and hospitality industry. You are comfortable managing multiple opportunities, following up clients and asking for the sale.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience in event sales, venue sales, hotel sales, catering sales, business development or account management
• Demonstrated experience converting enquiries into confirmed business
• Experience preparing proposals, quotations or event packages
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A confident, polished and approachable manner with clients
• Excellent organisation and follow-up skills
• The ability to manage a busy pipeline and competing priorities
• Experience using a CRM and Microsoft Office
• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Full Australian working rights

Experience selling weddings, corporate events, conferences, private functions or catering services will be highly regarded.

This role may not be the right fit if you are seeking an entry-level opportunity without sales experience or a senior sales management role.
