In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of providing care and support to patients as they embark on their rehabilitation journey. As a key member of our nursing team, you'll collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care in a nurturing and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Providing patient care within the inpatient rehabilitation setting. 
• Promoting the development of therapeutic relationships with the aim of facilitating the patient's rehabilitation goals. 
• Supporting the objectives and philosophy of the hospital. 
• Contributing to the person's rehabilitation goals in accordance with Royal Rehab Private Petersham Hospital's vision, purpose and values. 
• Supervising the activities of the Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing with their nursing care. 

 
About you..  

We are seeking a self-motivated and friendly individual with: 

Essential Criteria: 

• Current AHPRA registration. 
• Previous Rehabilitation /surgical/ medical experience. 
• Demonstrated effective communication skills. 
• Commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice. 
• Strong organisational and time management skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to participate within a multidisciplinary environment.   
• Demonstrated ability to use computer software. 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with managing challenging behaviours desirable.
