2. Communication and Interpersonal SkillsDemonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish positive and professional relationships with staff, external providers and other stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Financial, HR and Business AdministrationDemonstrated experience, knowledge or capacity to develop skills in financial and business administration, human resources, recruitment, purchasing and procurement. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing information and maintaining records is essential.
4. Technology, Initiative and Problem SolvingDemonstrated ability to confidently use computer systems and software, learn new systems quickly, identify issues and use initiative to resolve problems and improve administrative processes. Experience with systems such as Microsoft Office, EduPay, CASES21 or Compass would be highly regarded.
5. Capacity to Learn and DevelopDemonstrated willingness and capacity to learn across a broad range of school business operations, including finance, human resources, compliance and administration. A genuine interest in developing a longer-term career in business operations or school business management would be highly regarded.

Laverton P¿12 College is seeking an organised, motivated and proactive Business Operations Officer to join our Business Services team.
This is a 0.6 FTE position, with the distribution of approximately 22.8 hours per week negotiable across four or five days. The College is committed to providing flexibility where possible, with the role offering an attractive school-hours working arrangement.
Working closely with the Business Manager, the successful applicant will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of business functions, including human resources, recruitment, finance, procurement, compliance and general business operations.

WORKFORCE
The College staffing profile consists of approximately 120 staff members; including 5 Principal class, 11 Leading Teachers, 3 Learning Specialists, 57 teachers, 32 Education Support Staff and 2 Paraprofessionals.

ENROLMENT
The College has over 700 students enrolled from Foundation to Year 12. Our community is diverse, with 48% of students speaking languages other than English at home. A significant portion of our student body comes from Karen, Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern communities.
FACILITIES
Our College facilities and resources ensure that students are provided with an optimal learning environment and include a Performing Arts Centre, a fully equipped VET Hospitality centre, an Engineering workshop, Gymnasium, landscaped gardens, primary and secondary ovals, multiple netball and basketball courts, an undercover synthetic area for play and a beach volleyball area. Each classroom has Audio Visual technology and our students can access notebooks and iPads.
