About the Opportunity The Marketing and Events function is key to building awareness of ANSTO’s expertise with external stakeholders, strengthening and supporting our outreach activities and facilitating engagement opportunities between ANSTO scientists and technologists and the wider community with an interest or stake in nuclear science and technology. The role sits within the Nuclear Science and Technology Group's Industry and Stakeholder Engagement Team whose mission is to enable a sector-based industry engagement model, based on the unique capabilities of ANSTO's infrastructure and research themes. The Marketing and Events Coordinator is an integral role in the planning, promotion and execution of these engagement activities. If you have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, are adept at event planning, budgeting and execution, are comfortable learning and then utilising different software solutions to enable your work, have a great eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines then this is the opportunity for you" - Kyle Arthars, SRSE Operations Manager NSW Your Duties and Responsibilities Events project management, from scoping and project team stand-up and planning through to promotion, execution and post-event review; Acting as project leader responsible for guiding ANSTO scientists, technologists through the event lifecycle and assisting them in facilitating successful internal and external events, ensuring effective budget management and acting as main point of contact for contacts and activities as diverse as reporting, registration, programs, merchandise, logistics, transport, accommodation, visa and security, amongst others, across both campuses (Lucas Heights and Clayton) Work with internal and external teams to plan, develop, execute and refresh marketing collateral, including team newsletters and newsworthy events/updates, intranet and internet pages, communications and promotions to stakeholders around potential and/or upcoming events, etc. Develop and influence positive working relationships across ANSTO, with externa stakeholders and suppliers, and to foster open and honest communication at all levels. Contribute to and embrace continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process/system related improvements across all activities working closely with the SRSE team. Support the General Manager Strategic Research Services and Engagement with ad hoc administrative duties and manage all information with confidentiality, sensitivity, and tact, in a professional manner.
