Assistant Dean, Bachelor of Business Administration

SP Jain School of Global Management is seeking an experienced and collaborative Assistant Dean, BBA to lead the delivery and ongoing enhancement of our Bachelor of Business Administration program at our Sydney Olympic Park campus.

Reporting to the Dean, Undergraduate, and working closely with the Vice President, Academic, this role provides an excellent opportunity to shape the undergraduate student experience while contributing to academic leadership, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also benefit from mentoring and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

a)       Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Bachelor of Business Administration program in Sydney.

b)       Responsible for promoting and nurturing student-centric learning environment that ensures academic rigor and high-quality program learning outcomes for BBA cohorts in Sydney campus.  

c)       Recruit, induct, mentor, and manage the performance of full-time and sessional academic staff.

d)      Support the review and renewal of curriculum, assessment, and learning resources.

e)      Collaborate with academic leaders across SP Jain's global campuses to ensure consistency and quality in course delivery.

f)        Provide timely academic leadership and support to enhance student success.

g)       Work collaboratively with academic and professional staff to deliver an outstanding student learning experience, including student consultation.

h)      Enhance student transition, engagement, retention, and overall experience.

i)        Manage student academic misconduct and grievances in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.

j)        Ensure the effective implementation of academic policies and regulatory requirements at the course level.

k)       Lead strategic initiatives and projects that strengthen course quality, student experience, and academic outcomes.

l)        Collaborate with the Student Placement team and industry partners to enhance graduate employability.

m)    Collaborate with alumni team to enhance alumni-student engagement.

Essential Requirements

• Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of unrestricted full-time work rights in Australia.

• Doctorate degree in business management or relevant field.

• Demonstrated experience in an accredited higher education institution in an academic leadership role such as Discipline Leader, Department Head, Program/Course Coordinator, or equivalent.

• Proven higher education teaching experience.

• Demonstrated understanding of higher education quality assurance, governance, and regulatory compliance.

• On campus working for minimum 4 days per week.
