Salary: $86,600 - $147,048  (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)

What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Catherine McAuley College. This is a full-time continuing position to commence January 2027. Applicants interested in part time opportunities are also encouraged to apply. 

We are seeking teacher/s of Junior and Senior English (the ability to teach both would be an advantage) with any other subject area/s to join our supportive and passionate team of educators dedicated to academic success and creative student engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the exciting final stage of expansion to a full Years 7-12 College in 2027.

The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at Catherine McAuley College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Education’s mission, can design differentiated teaching strategies, uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues, parents and the community.

Catherine McAuley College opened in 2022 to meet the growing demand for high-quality Catholic secondary education in the Mackay region. Commencing with its inaugural cohort of Year 7 students, the College has been strategically growing one year level at a time and will complete its full Years 7-12 profile by 2027.
