About this Role

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the organisation and coordination of our team of drivers and truck fleet to plan and allocate workloads accordingly. Commitment to achieving the most effective and efficient way to allocate drivers and resources is an important aspect to this role.  

The ability to communicate effectively and keep all stakeholders (especially drivers and customers) onside is a critical element of the role. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Basic Fatigue Management compliance (training will be provided)

• Ensuring all operational, administration, customer service, relationships are managed in a professional and appropriate manner

• Maintaining effective, efficient and best practice logistics solutions within the operations (planning, allocating and scheduling work)

• General operational tasks including data entry

Note, that this is a day shift role within a 24/7 work environment. For this position the roster rotating with some weekends required . The role reports to the Operations Manager and is based at our Orange Depot. 

About You

You are self-motivated, extremely reliable, and work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  

You don't necessarily have a background in transport, however you are motivated and have a can-do attitude. You are able to adapt and learn quickly in an environment and team that operates with a sense of urgency.

Your past work skills will involve some experience in either organising, allocating or scheduling.

Your skills and experience for this role need to include:

• Clear communication skills – both written and oral

• Strong relationship building skills

• Strong attention to detail

• An ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Capable of making decisions quickly

• Fast and competent computer use, incl Microsoft Office

• The ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining strong team communication

• An ability to multitask
