About the opportunity
The Hospital Assistant in accordance with Department of Health and Mercy Health Service standards and requirements is responsible for ensuring the facility is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and in line with infection control guidelines; linen distribution and collection within the facility; and waste collection.
Able to adapt to other duties and changes when required.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Relevant experience in domestic services (cleaning)
• Ability to operate in a team environment
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control
• Understanding of sound manual handling practices
• Current Drivers Licence
• Ability and willingness to work a rotating roster that will or may include weekends.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
