What you’ll do:

At WSP, we deliver a broad range of sustaining capital, brownfield and minerals processing projects for some of Australia's leading mining companies. As our Adelaide Mining team continues to grow, we're looking for a Lead – Principal Electrical Engineer who can bring more than just technical expertise. We're seeking someone who understands what it takes to successfully deliver projects; balancing technical quality, project performance, team leadership and client expectations.

While strong electrical engineering capability is important, we're particularly interested in someone who can take ownership of the broader delivery function. You'll provide direction to a team of engineers and designers, ensure deliverables are planned and completed efficiently, and work closely with Project Managers and discipline leads to drive successful project outcomes. This role would suit someone who enjoys mentoring others, improving delivery processes and creating a high-performing team environment.

• Leading and coordinating electrical engineering teams across multiple projects. 
• Providing oversight of project deliverables, schedules, budgets and resource planning. 
• Ensuring quality, consistency and on-time delivery of engineering outputs. 
• Working closely with Project Managers to identify and manage project risks and opportunities. 
• Mentoring and developing engineers at various stages of their careers. 
• Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. 
• Supporting bids, proposals and project planning activities. 
• Contributing to the ongoing growth and capability of the Adelaide Mining team.

About you:

• Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering projects within mining, resources or heavy industry. 
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing engineering deliverables. 
• Strong understanding of project execution, resourcing and multidisciplinary coordination. 
• The ability to balance technical requirements with commercial and delivery objectives. 
• Proven experience working directly with clients and stakeholders. 
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring skills. 
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with eligibility for professional accreditation.
