About the role
We are seeking a reliable Waste Depot Attendant to work across PMHC Waste Transfer Stations.
These are public waste disposal sites where household and council waste is delivered, inspected, and sorted for recycling, resource recovery, or landfill. Resource recovery involves separating materials such as metal, green waste, cardboard, and other recyclables so they can be reused or processed instead of going to landfill.
You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, around trucks, machinery, and active waste materials. This is a hands-on operational role involving customer interaction, plant operation, and strict adherence to safety procedures at all times.
This position operates on a seven-day rotating roster, with shifts rostered between 7:45am and 4:15pm.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to work weekends and public holidays as part of your ordinary hours. Your days and hours of work will be determined by the Waste Services roster.
