About the role

Romcor is seeking a Finance & Project Administrator to join our team in Edinburgh on a full-time basis. This is a key role responsible for managing the day-to-day financial administration of the business, while supporting the commercial and financial management of our engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance and administration using Xero

• Process fortnightly payroll and ensure employee timesheets are accurate and submitted on time

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and customer invoicing

• Complete bank, credit card and financial reconciliations

• Prepare regular financial and management reports for the Directors

• Monitor project budgets, costs, WIP and profitability

• Identify and report project cost variances and financial risks

• Manage procurement, purchase orders and supplier administration

• Ensure project costs and purchases are correctly allocated

• Maintain accurate financial and project records

• Develop and improve finance, project and commercial processes as Romcor grows

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking responsibility.

You will have:

• Xero experience – Essential

• Previous experience in finance, accounts, project administration or a similar role

• Experience with payroll and financial reconciliations

• Experience working with budgets, costs and financial reporting

• Eager to adapt to changing technology and improve processes

• Strong Excel and computer skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Confidence to follow up staff, suppliers and contractors when required

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
