About the role and where you will be working:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based at our Central Office. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of financial records, and supporting the organisation's financial compliance requirements. Working collaboratively across the business, you will partner with operational leaders and key stakeholders to provide financial support, prepare monthly reporting, manage reconciliations, assist with audit processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.

This is a fantastic max term opportunity until October 2026, offering a strong potential for ongoing permanent employment.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post journals to ensure the accuracy of financial records and reporting. Complete bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and Board reporting requirements.
• Maintain loan schedules, accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Support external audit activities by providing reconciliations, reports and financial information.
• Provide advice and support to managers and employees on finance-related matters.
• Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and other accounting activities as required.

About you:

You are a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience. Highly organised and detail oriented, you bring excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.

To be considered for this role you’ll need:

• CA or CPA qualified accountant with at least 5 years' relevant experience.
• Skilled in financial reporting, reconciliations and problem solving.
• Advanced Excel user with exceptional attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business.
• Proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering high quality outcomes.
