MECHANICAL PLUMBER

Due to ongoing company growth throughout North Queensland, we are seeking reliable, motivated, and experienced Mechanical Plumber to join our Mechanical Projects Team in Townsville on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Plumber at Peak ARE, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, refurbishment, maintenance, and repair works on commercial and industrial chilled water air-conditioning systems. Working across our diverse and growing client base, you will install, test, commission, and maintain chilled water piping systems and associated mechanical services infrastructure, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical and industry standards.

The role involves interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications, installing and servicing chilled water pipework and associated equipment, and working collaboratively with HVAC, electrical, and other trades to deliver successful project outcomes. You will play a key role in ensuring all systems are installed and maintained in accordance with project requirements, relevant legislation, and Peak ARE's commitment to quality and safety.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

• Commitment to the production of high-quality work and the ability and desire to always deliver exceptional customer service.

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment

• Previous experience with Commercial Chilled water systems would be highly advantageous, however not compulsory

• Knowledge of chilled water installation principles and best industry practice

• Knowledge of basic construction principles

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently deliver quality outcomes

• Leadership qualities

Essential Criteria, Qualifications and License Requirements

• General Construction Card

• Current C class drivers Licence

• QBCC Mechanical plumbers Licence – or ability to obtain

• Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification) from a recognised and accredited training institution

• Security clearances and Blue Card – or ability to obtain

• Additional licences highly regarded

• Simpro Knowledge (preferred, not essential)
