About the role
Fixed Term Part Time Appointment (0.2 FTE) until 10/10/2027, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency, based at Narrogin Health Service.
Position profile
As a member of the Narrogin Health Service Medical Education Unit (MEU), the Medical Education Officer (MEO) supports the delivery and coordination of medical education and training programs for junior doctors across the Wheatbelt region. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Training and Central MEU, the role coordinates orientation, education activities, trainee support, accreditation requirements, medical student placements and workforce initiatives that contribute to a positive training environment and high-quality learning outcomes.
The successful applicant will bring strong organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with medical, academic and administrative stakeholders.

As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. Please note this recruitment process requires completion of satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position.
