About the RoleJoin our dynamic community healthcare organisation and become a pivotal member of our engaged workforce. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinician (Max term Parental Leave Cover) to join our headspace team in Hawthorn, providing clinical support and supervision to the team and provide assessment and intervention to young people and families using a trauma-informed approach to enhance mental health and wellbeing outcomes
ResponsibilitiesProvide operational leadership and line management to the Team at headspaceWorking within the Leadership team to manage rosters, oversee waitlists and demand managementDeliver individual, group and family supportProvide case management/care coordination to a small number of young people with complex and chronic risk
QualificationsPostgraduate qualifications in psychology and current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Social WorkerDemonstrated experience working in youth mental health, alcohol and other drugs, community or similar health services (minimum five years’ experienceDemonstrated high level of skill in clinical risk assessment and management, including assessing for risk of suicide, self-harm and other risk domainsRecognised qualifications/training and demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervisionRegistered with AHPRA as a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, or ability to register within first six months of employmentDemonstrated ability to work creatively and respectfully with people from a diverse range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including LGBTIQA+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Required SkillsAn approach that aligns with trauma-informed care principles of welcome, hope and empathy when working with young people and their family/friendsGenuine interest and passion working with young people and their family/friendsSkills in working with young people across the 12-25-year age group and a range of developmental agesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEffective time management and prioritisation skillsGood knowledge and understanding of the youth mental health and related services sectorDemonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentDemonstrated behaviours consistent with AccessHC values
Compliance RequirementsNational Police CheckWorking with Children CheckEvidence of the right to work in Australia and a valid Driver’s Licence
Pay range and compensation pThis is a 12-month max term contract role until July 2027 based in Hawthorn. The salary band range depending on experience is between $115,339.12- $135,553.60 plus super and salary packaging benefits
