Civil / Structural Designer

Wood is currently recruiting for a Civil / Structural Designer to join our team in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day design services to a dedicated project or suite of projects
• Ensure deliverables are presentable and accurate and are consistency checked
• Under supervision is mainly engaged in making technical design drawings involving originality of thought which requires the exercise of judgment and skill
• Readily takes ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on a project

• Minimum of 5 years’ design engineering related experience in structural steelwork, reinforced concrete and/or civil design
• Relevant recognised qualifications preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards commensurate with experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modelling commensurate with experience
• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to demonstrate team working skills
• Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
• Flexible with a can-do attitude
