ADC operates Supported Independent Living (SIL), community access, and in-home support services, delivered 24/7 by experienced and dedicated support workers. You must be adaptable, confident, and committed to building your capability in complex support settings. Shifts operate 24/7, including active night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal care and daily living tasks

• Support participants to attend appointments and access the community

• Encourage skill development, independence, and community participation

• Implement individualised support and care plans

• Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours (where applicable)

• Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes, and incident documentation

• Follow NDIS Practice Standards, ADC policies, and procedures

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and Behaviour Support Practitioners

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping

• Supporting participants in SIL and supported accommodation environments, including overnight and active night shifts

• Providing companionship and supporting recreational, social, and goal-based activities

• Advocating for participant needs to ensure holistic and person-centred care

• Accurately documenting client progress, incidents, and support delivery

About You

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (preferred) but not essential

• Experience working with people with disability (desirable), particularly psychosocial disability or complex needs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach

• Flexible, resilient, and adaptable

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience assisting clients with medication
