An excellent career opportunity exists within our Human Resources Team, reporting to the Human Resources Manager, for an experienced full-time Work Health and Safety Officer. The role involves working across our entire range of operations; farming, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and dispatch. 

Your role in our team: 

• Maintain up to date documents, registers and records

• Incident and risk management 

• Support and implement WHS policies

• Support Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs

• Contractor and visitor management from induction to compliance

• Employee engagement at all levels from worker to executive. Support and co-ordinate HSR’s

• Site visits and compliance

• Promote a safe workplace culture. 

To be successful in this role you will need: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and preparation of recommendations.

• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship-building skills.

• Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and improvement.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of associated WHS legislation, regulations and standards.

• Knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation and relevant SIRA training

• Experience in the provision of safety reporting including audits, investigations, inspections and the effective close out of corrective actions.

• Preferred - Diploma or higher of Work Health and Safety or related discipline.

• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical screening and police check.

This position is Permanent Full Time Role.

 Due to our bio-security regulations and standards we require that our staff do not have other exposure to pigs or poultry outside of our work environment.
