Medical Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Central West Medical Centre.

This is not just a standard reception role - it’s a key front-of-house position suited to someone who takes pride in patient experience, enjoys a busy environment, and values being part of a supportive, well-run clinic with a positive team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the centre in an efficient and courteous manner

• Collect and enter patient details

• Schedule and manage patient appointments

• Answer telephone calls and enquiries in a professional and friendly manner

• Administration support

• General administration duties such as scanning, faxing, filing and follow up patient enquiries

• Patient billing and processing payments

About you

• At least 2 years experience working in a general practice

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient computer skills

• Knowledge of Best Practice software is an advantage

• Sound understanding of medical centre operations

• High level of personal presentation

• Ability to work as a team member

• Display a high level of attention to details

• Flexible to assist with various rosters
