Junior Accountant

Happytel Retail Group is the leading retailer in mobile device accessories and repairs with over 30 years of experience and more than 50 stores across Australia and New Zealand. We currently employ over 200 employees with our head office based in Sydney.

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. 

 Key duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

• Perform data entry of invoices in a timely and accurate manner (including verifying vendor profiles)

Accounts Receivable: 

• Issue invoices for multiple stakeholders

• Perform sales checking and reconciliation

• Prepare aged AR reports, reviewing and following up with the payments. 

• Managing the end-to-end accounts receivable process

Payroll:

• Prepare any staff reimbursements

Other Tasks:

• Assist with the month-end closing process and preparation of BAS

• Assist in the preparation of analytical reports guided by the Finance Manager

• Assist in the preparation of budgeting

• Prepare and renew workers’ compensation and other business insurance

About you

The successful candidate will have the following

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting

• High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Willingness to learn, self-motivated and a can-do attitude

• Excellent written and oral communication skills within a professional setting

• Ability to take initiative and apply critical thinking skills

• A valid Australian visa with the right to work full-time
