Planning Manager

Centurion is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Planning Manager to lead and optimise our transport planning function. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering accurate, efficient plans that support operational performance and drive continuous improvement across the network.

The Opportunity
You will oversee daily planning activities while developing short- and medium-term strategies to ensure effective resource allocation and operational alignment. You will work closely with Scheduling and Operations teams to ensure plans are executed seamlessly and performance outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day planning functions, delivering accurate and actionable plans to the Operations team

• Develop and maintain planning tools, reporting, and trend analysis to support decision-making

• Lead short-term and medium-term planning, including workforce rostering and trip coverage

• Collaborate closely with Scheduling and Operations teams to align planning with execution

• Monitor performance against plan vs actuals, identifying gaps and implementing improvements

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and systems

• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and resource utilisation

About You

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a planning, logistics, or transport environment

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
