About the position
BIA is seeking experienced an Aerodrome Reporting Officer/ Work Safety Officer (ARO/ WSO) to join their high performing and friendly team in a full time, ongoing basis.
As part of a small team, you will ensure BIA’s airside operations remain safe and compliant. Your duties will include conducting regular patrols and inspections of runways, taxiways, and apron areas. Accurate operational reporting and the timely escalation of risks and incidents is required, supporting safe and efficient day-to-day airport operations. Maintaining airside and landside areas through gardening and general maintenance may also be required from time-to-time.
About the person we seek
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of carrying out runway serviceability and airfield inspections with a commitment to safety-first practices. You will also have flexibility to work rotating roster including weekends and on call shifts and be able to tolerate working outdoors in hot conditions. Recent experience working as an ARO / WSO is desirable, however BIA will provide training for suitable candidates. Current C Class manual driver’s licence with an ability to obtain Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) checks and comply with BIA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) are also essential for this position.
