About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance team at our Moorooka flour mill in Brisbane.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday (rostered Day and Afternoon shift rotations), with an early finish on Fridays.

You'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment.
• Supporting breakdown repairs and minimising downtime.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting across mechanical and, where applicable, electrical systems.
• Supporting fabrication, fitting and repair work as required.
• Contributing to a safe, clean and compliant manufacturing environment.
• Following all food safety, quality, safety and site procedures.

About You

As an experienced and professional Maintenance Fitter, we are looking for the following qualities:

The suitable candidate will possess:

• Relevant trade qualification required (e.g. Mechanical Fitter & Turner)
• Good understanding of and commitment to health and safety work practices
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
• Physically active, comfortable with regular stairs, carrying tools, equipment and general maintenance tasks.
• Electrical licence or Restricted Electrical licence to disconnect/reconnect capability is mandatory.
• PLC literacy or exposure is desirable but not essential.
• Prior maintenance experience in Food manufacturing or FMCG is desirable.
