The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Facilities Manager to lead operations at Edinburgh Parks Distribution Centre, South Australia in a full time permanent role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is a critical leadership role, responsible for the end-to-end performance of the facility—spanning maintenance delivery, contractor management, asset optimisation, safety, and financial performance. Acting as the primary on-site representative for City, you will play a key role in driving operational outcomes, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the site consistently performs at a high level.

You will partner closely with Distribution Centre leadership and internal teams to align facilities management with operational priorities—balancing planned programs with reactive demands while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership – Lead all facilities management activities on site, ensuring high performance, reliability, and service deliveryContractor & Workforce Management – Oversee contractors and technical teams, ensuring alignment to standards, performance, and safety expectationsAsset & Maintenance Strategy – Drive preventative maintenance programs and optimise asset lifecycle performanceStakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with site leadership, internal teams, and external partnersFinancial & Commercial Oversight – Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency and value creationHealth, Safety & Compliance – Ensure full compliance with HSE legislation, City policies, and site requirementsContinuous Improvement – Identify, lead, and deliver initiatives that improve operational efficiency and site performancePerformance & Reporting – Monitor KPIs, manage workflows, and ensure visibility of performance across key stakeholders

Experience & Expertise:

Essential

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Facilities Manager or similar leadership role within a large-scale industrial or commercial environmentProven experience managing complex sites with multiple stakeholders, contractors, and competing prioritiesStrong commercial acumen, including budget management and cost optimisationDemonstrated experience driving operational performance and continuous improvement initiativesStrong understanding of maintenance, asset management, and facilities operationsExcellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skillsCurrent driver’s licence

Desirable

Trade or technical background, with progression into leadership rolesExperience within distribution centres, logistics, or high-volume operational environmentsRelevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
