Apprentice Chef

Milk haus is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team.

About the role

As an Apprentice Chef at Milk haus, you’ll work alongside our experienced kitchen team and learn all aspects of professional kitchen operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience preparing quality food, maintaining high kitchen standards, and working as part of a supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and service

• Learning and developing fundamental cooking techniques and growing  / harvesting produce from our onsite kitchen garden.

• Following recipes and maintaining consistency

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene

• Assisting with stock preparation, storage and kitchen organisation

• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

• Assist in food prep and service for special events and offsite catering when required

• Learning how to work efficiently in a busy service environment

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about food and cooking and committed at working with us longtime to learn as much as possible in their apprenticeship

• Eager to learn and develop their skills

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Positive and willing to be part of a team

• Able to take direction and feedback

• Organised and attentive to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• No previous professional kitchen experience required — just the right attitude and willingness to learn
