Part-Time Chef (Wednesdays & Fridays) – Little Penguin Early Learning Centre

Little Penguin Early Learning Centre in Kilsyth is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef to join our team on Wednesdays and Fridays (with the potential to increase days as our centre grows).  

Our welcoming centre provides a supportive and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s health, growth, and wellbeing by preparing fresh, balanced, and delicious meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.  

• Qualifications: A relevant qualification in commercial cookery or food preparation or equivalent, demonstrated experience in a childcare or institutional food service environment

• Food Safety: Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable).  

• Experience: Background cooking in an early learning, childcare, or aged care setting.  

• Dietary Expertise: Strong understanding of allergens, child nutrition, and dietary requirements.  

• Child Safety & Checks: Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Check, completed Geccko Child Safety Training, and a strong commitment to child safe principles.
