About the role
The Service
KU Wickham, near Newcastle CBD, operates in a historic 1889 Italianate building. Established over 70 years ago as Newcastle’s first free Kindergarten, it features a spacious playroom with large windows overlooking a landscaped playground and park.
Located on Crown Land surrounded by parklands, sports facilities, and a community garden, KU Wickham offers a dynamic environment for children and educators. Open 8am–5pm.
The Role
We are looking for someone with previous directing experience who is ECT qualified to lead the team on a permanent basis, working 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday
This is a blended teaching and non-teaching director role, with a generous director’s allowance and dedicated time to work with educators and children to guide and support pedagogy and practice within a high functioning team. You will bring sound pedagogical knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families and team members, while supporting rostering, mentoring, daily routines and policy implementation to build a harmonious working environment.
