Procurement Support Officer

The Procurement Support Officer position supports the ongoing delivery of procurement outcomes across IP Australia and is suited to candidates who are ready to step into a role with clear accountability, continuity of work, and the ability to learn and make a meaningful impact from the outset.
This position is responsible for providing professional and policy advice in relation to procurement and contract management and supporting the establishment of best practice procurement policies and processes.
In this role as Procurement Officer, responsibilities include:
manage procurement activities in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and agency policiesplan and coordinate procurement processes, including Request for Quotes (RFQs), tenders, market engagement and evaluationsconduct procurement and contract management activities using Commonwealth procurement arrangements, including Whole of Government Panelsprepare procurement recommendations and provide procurement and contract management adviceestablish, administer and support contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract variationspromote Indigenous procurement outcomes in line with the Indigenous Procurement Policymaintain procurement records and reporting requirements, including AusTender reportingmonitor procurement and contract activities to ensure compliance, governance and value for money outcomesundertake procurement administration, including quality assurance, inbox management, and coordination of meetings and forumsdeliver procurement guidance, training materials and stakeholder supportidentify and support implementation of improvements to procurement processes, systems and performance
