Financial Accountant (6 month FTC)

We're looking to recruit a senior Financial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Included In What You'll Do

Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and adjustmentsPrepare monthly management reports, reporting schedules and group reporting submissionsSupport quarterly external audit reviews and year-end financial statement preparationPrepare statutory and regulatory reporting, including APRA, AFIA and ASIC reportingLiaise with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely financial reportingSupport compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, SOX requirements and group reporting obligationsAssist with ERP implementation activities and finance process improvementsProvide financial analysis, commentary and ad hoc reportingContribute to a high-performing finance team during a significant period of business transformation

What You Have

To be successful, you'll bring:

CA qualification with approximately 4-6 years' experience in financial accounting or auditPrevious Big 4 experience (KPMG, Deloitte, EY or PwC highly regarded)Strong technical accounting capabilityExperience with financial reporting and external auditExposure to SOX compliance and US GAAP (desirable)Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholdersAbility to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP systems is advantageous
