Our Garden & Landscape team is looking for casual Sales Assistant and Nursery/Yard Hands who are customer-focused and passionate about horticulture and garden landscape.

ASQ Garden & Landscape is a locally owned and operated business supplying a large range of landscaping and horticultural needs for the novice gardener through to the professional landscaper. Operating three unique sites across Central Victoria, our landscape supply yards and garden nurseries located in Bendigo/ Eaglehawk, Castlemaine and Maryborough are presented and maintained to the highest industry standard. Our sites are operated by professional, qualified staff who deliver expert advice, knowledge and services to our retail and trade customers.

About the role

ASQ Garden & Landscape is currently recruiting for multiple Sales Assistant and Nursery/Yard Hand positions within our Eaglehawk Team. Opportunities are available across both our Nursery and Landscape Supplies Yard. These hands-on roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about customer service, enjoy working outdoors, and have an interest in horticulture, landscaping and retail sales. You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product displays, supporting daily site operations, and contributing to a safe, professional and welcoming environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service and appropriate horticultural advice
• Ensuring all nursery products are maintained and presented to a high standard.
• Working closely with site supervisor and perform additional duties as and when required.

Key Selection Criteria

• The successful candidate will have a passion for horticulture, be able to provide positive and confident customer interaction and the ability to perform manual duties.
• Must have proven retail experience.
• Previous experience as Horticulturist (desired).
• Knowledge/experience in nursery and landscape products.
• Experience using Point of Sales (POS) systems.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays as required.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines/customer requirements and follow direction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and exemplary personal presentation.

Education, Certification and Licenses required:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Horticulture or appropriate industry training courses (desirable).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Sales Loader license/ experience (desirable).
