About the role
You want to do work that makes a positive difference to local communities
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Play a key part in maintaining and improving road infrastructure across regional New South Wales. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will undertake a variety of hands-on construction and maintenance activities that help keep our roads safe, reliable, and efficient for the community.
Key responsibilities include:
• Carrying out road construction, snow clearing and maintenance works across the network.
• Maintaining and improving road pavements, drainage systems, road furniture, and signage.
• Supporting the construction of new and upgraded road infrastructure.
• Operating in a safety-focused outdoor environment as part of a collaborative team.
• Snow Clearing activities during the winter period, including participating in call-outs and weekend work when required.
What we offer:
• A 9-day fortnight, working Monday to Friday with every second Monday off.
• The opportunity to contribute to safer roads and long-lasting infrastructure that benefits local communities.
We have a permanent full-time position based in Jindabyne. To meet operational requirements, you must reside within 100 km driving distance of the Jindabyne Works Depot.

About you
You bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude gained through work, study, volunteering, or life experience. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are flexible, safety-conscious, and ready to take on physically demanding work.
You're a proactive team player who takes pride in delivering quality outcomes, works safely and efficiently, and is eager to learn and develop new skills. While previous road construction or labouring experience is advantageous, it is not essential, we're looking for people with the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to contribute.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A current Construction Industry White Card.
• A current Class C Driver Licence (minimum P1).
• The ability and willingness to obtain Traffic Controller accreditation within three months of commencement.
• A residential address within 100 km driving distance of the Jindabyne Works Depot.
• The ability to work safely and effectively in high-speed, high-volume traffic environments.
• A willingness to work outside normal business hours, attend call-outs, travel across the district, and stay away from home when operationally required.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career maintaining and improving essential road infrastructure that keeps communities connected.
