About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality, custom cabinetry at our factory. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship, who can interpret design specifications and ensure every project is completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manufacture high-quality custom cabinets and joinery items from a range of materials, including timber, plywood, MDF, laminate, and veneer, according to technical drawings and customer specifications.
· Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and design specifications to determine dimensions, materials required, and the appropriate construction methods.
· Measure, mark, cut, and shape materials with precision using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
· Assemble components using techniques such as doweling, biscuit joining, laminating, and screwing to create finished cabinetry that is durable, functional, and visually appealing.
· Fit hardware such as hinges, runners, handles, locks, and other fittings to cabinetry, ensuring correct alignment and smooth operation.
· Perform regular quality checks throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship meet company and client expectations.
· Liaise with designers, production supervisors, and installers to clarify design intent, coordinate timelines, and resolve technical challenges.
· Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives by suggesting better techniques, tools, or processes to improve efficiency and quality.
· Maintain a safe and organized workspace in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines.
· Providing guidance and training to new employees, ensuring they master necessary woodworking skills and standards.
