Maintenance Officers and Gardeners - Various positions across Melbourne

 We are currently recruiting for:

• Maintenance Officer – Kew (Ref: MO2126)

• Gardener/Maintenance Officer – Bentleigh (Ref: MGO3226) - (Must be qualified Gardener)

• All round Handyperson – Sunshine West (Ref: MO2326)

 Key Responsibilities

Depending on the site, your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting daily site inspections and walk-arounds

• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, joinery, tiling and plastering

• Performing gardening and grounds maintenance

• Removing debris, rubbish and maintaining clean, safe outdoor areas

• Proactively identifying maintenance and gardening tasks

• Assisting with preventative maintenance programs

• Using power tools and gardening equipment safely and effectively

• Maintaining respectful and professional relationships with clients, staff and other stakeholders

 About You

We are looking for a practical, dependable and service-focused people who take pride in their work.

 You will ideally have:

• Experience in general building, maintenance and gardening, preferably within a school or similar environment

• Fully qualified gardener for the position Ref MGO3226

• Experience working with a range of stakeholders

• A strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader team

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service

• An understanding of WH&S, Quality and Environmental Management systems

• A flexible, agile and adaptable approach to your work

 You will also need a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

 Work Environment

These are hands-on roles within school environments and may involve:

• Indoor and outdoor work

• Lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and reaching

• Use of power tools and gardening equipment

• A variety of maintenance and grounds-related tasks throughout the day
