FIFO or DIDO | 13-Week Backfill Project | R&R Every Weekend 

Mergent Group is currently seeking experienced E&I Technicians to join a major capital sustainment backfill project based in Whyalla, South Australia. 

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a well-paying short-term project with a lifestyle roster that gives you R&R every weekend, accommodation provided, and FIFO/DIDO flexibility.

• $65.44/hr base rate + penalty rates  

• 13-week backfill project  

• Lifestyle roster with every weekend off  

• $60/day meal allowance

• Immediate start available from 18/05/2026  

• Work with a highly regarded team delivering key capital sustainment works  

Project Details: 

Location: Whyalla, South Australia  

Roster: 3:4 / 4:3 roster | Monday–Wednesday & Monday–Thursday rotations   

Start Date: 18 May 2026 

Type: FIFO or DIDO 

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• SA Electrical Workers Licence (or willingness for mutual recognition) 

• Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation 

• National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain during recruitment process) 

• CPR/LVR (within last 12 months) 

• White Card 

• Drivers license 

• Working at Heights (desirable) 

• EWP (desirable) 

• Able to pass a full pre-employment medical + drug and alcohol testing
