We have offices in each mainland state and provide complete industrial refrigeration solutions including design, construction and comprehensive servicing for a wide range of sectors including mining, chemical, food and beverage. 

GBI has joined the JCI family and as we continue to innovate and grow, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join our team.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a passionate Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join their office located in Bendigo, Victoria.

About the role:

• Knowledge in and operation of CAD programs, most notably AutoCAD (2D) is essential. Knowledge in Solidworks (3D) is an advantage but not mandatory. These software packages are used to provide equipment models and designs based around provided engineering information and support by the team.

• Detailed drawings to IFC level are to be prepared as required for the manufacture of such equipment.

• Detailed BOM’s for procurement and manufacturing

• Liaising directly with GBI manufacturing and site teams

• Liaising directly with clients to define scope, secure projects, etc.

• Detailed design and layout work

• Ensure completed works are carried out in compliance with relative codes and standards

• Ensure quality, safety and environment aspects are followed

• Working closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget

• Support the project team within your region

The Successful Applicant will have: 

• 1-2 years Design Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A high level of attention to detail

• Proactive approach and ability to work both within a team and autonomously

• Excellent presentation skills

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
