HR Driver/Yardhand - YATALA BASE

We are searching for a HR Driver/Yardhand for our YATALA depot, someone who is looking for a long-term stable position, who is passionate about safety, and who has a strong work ethic, effective communication, and a willingness to go the extra mile for our clients. 

This is a FULL-TIME role on offer, Monday to Friday, 38 hours guaranteed, with overtime opportunities, paid annual and personal leave, public holidays, and no rain days.

Key duties include:

Transport

• Timely and efficient delivery & collection of equipment to and from customers’ job sites, predominantly localised

• Loading and unloading equipment on and off trucks by Forklift

• Keeping Mabey trucks clean and presentable 

• Complete the vehicle inspection form twice weekly, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements to the manager immediately. 

• Compliance with all Mabey policies and state and federal regulatory requirements with respect to conduct, compliance, logbooks, and/or fatigue management requirements.

Yard work

• Repair and maintenance of hire fleet/equipment to a workable and safe condition.

• Cleaning and inspection of the hire fleet/equipment in preparation for the next hire.

• Painting of hire fleet/equipment.

• General housekeeping and maintenance of the Mabey facility, assets, tooling, and yard area as needed or requested.

Required skills

• HR unrestricted licence (with manual synchro gearbox, advantageous)

• CV Crane Licence (Preferred but not essential)

• Experience using a Hiab/Palfinger-type vehicle-mounted crane (preferred but not essential)

• Forklift Licence (Preferred but not essential)

• Site Safety Card: white card (must have)

• Own reliable transport to work.

The hourly rate is dependent upon tickets and experience.

An immediate start is desirable after licence and pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing.
