Senior Graphic Designer

About the role

As part of the Special Projects Team, you will be part of a dynamic, fast paced & colloboarative team working closely with Product Development and Marketing by focusing on both new and established product lines aimed at global markets, including licensed and non-licensed distribution channels.

Primary responsibilities will revolve around crafting packaging artwork, establishing branding, developing brand assets, and structuring diverse packaging formats.

Key responsibilities

• Creating and developing new brand logos and designs

• Preparing for final art and creating construction dielines

• Recommending and developing the optimum packaging structure for products and brands

• Develop packaging solutions showcasing product features and functions while keeping the customers in mind

• Proactively gathering relevant information to make the packaging exceptional such as photography, content, and illustration

• Working with licensors; taking into consideration feedback and comments while making recommendations

• Creating, refining, following style guide as needed by brands

• Maintaining timeline and budget while adhering to style guide where required

• Designing for print and packaging 3D production and leading in the creative process

• Leading the design for trade shows, retail shows, PR, etc. as requested

About you

• Minimum of 5 years related experience in packaging design

• Knowledge of the toy industry – preferred

• Understands all elements of design: illustration, page layout, color and typography

• Strong understanding of complex dielines and packaging construction

• Ability to create in-house mocks and prototypes of packaging

• Ability to export for final art

• Strong understanding of print media production

• Exceptional design and layout skills

• Must be able to accept creative feedback and follow through with art direction when given

• Tertiary qualified in relevant field, e.g. Graphic Design or similar
